This is certainly a bold take by Perkins. Although James Harden is certainly far from his MVP self he is still a really good player, especially in the regular season. However, I think this point by Perkins does have some truth. If Harden is only going to accept big money then he might not find a team willing to pay him what he wants. That would lead to him sitting out a few seasons and that would likely mean the end of his career.
