This bitter rivalry is kicking off for the 106th time (the backyard bowl) as West Virginia hosts Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh’s defense is much better stats-wise than West Virginia’s, but when we broke it down, we saw that West Virginia had played a Penn State team, and the best team Pittsburgh has played was Cincinnati, who they lost to at home as 6.5-point favorites. We like West Virginia at home in a pick-em game at -1, where we are taking the home team with better exposure this year and a run that averages more than 70 yards than Pitt.
Our Pick: West Virginia -1
